Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali of Mathematics
Department of Dhaka University has been appointed as the sixth vice-
chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR).
Prof Shawkat Ali was appointed upon approval by the President and Chancellor
of the university under Section 10 (1) of Begum Rokeya University Act-2009.
He did his honours and masters degree from Dhaka University. Besides, he did
his PhD programme from the University of Glasgow.
