Two people were killed and another one was
injured in a road accident on the Jhenaidah-Chuadanga highway in Sadhuhati
area under Sadar upazila of the district today.
The victims were Anisur Rahman, 65, a resident of Baro Kaunia village and
Farukh Matubbar, 45, resident of Bhawal village under Saltha upazila of
Faridpur district.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station Shaheen Uddin said
the accident occurred in the area while the mini truck hit another truck in
front of it around 4:50am as it was traveling from Faridpur to Meherpur,
leaving two people dead on the spot and injuring another.
The wounded was taken to Sadar Hospital, the OC said.
Later, police recovered the bodies and handed over those to their respective
families, the OC added.
