Govt reconstitutes law commission

The government today reconstituted the Law

Commission, Bangladesh, appointing former Appellate Division Justice Zinat

Ara as the new chairman of the commission for a three-year tenure.

While serving the post, she would be enjoying salary, allowance, and other

benefits equivalent to those of an Appellate Division justice, a gazette

notification said here today.

Meanwhile, the government through separate gazette notifications, appointed

former retired judge of the High Court Division, Justice Shamim Hasnain and

Professor Dr Naima Haque as the two members of the law commission for the

next three years.

During their service, the two members would get salary, allowance, and other

benefits equivalent to those of a judge of the High Court Division.
