Kuwait City: Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman left for Kuwait today on a 3-day official visit, an Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) release stated. The army chief leads a five-member delegation to engage in crucial discussions with senior civil and military officials of the Kuwait government.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, General Waker-Uz-Zaman’s itinerary includes courtesy meetings aimed at discussing military-related bilateral cooperation. The visit holds significance in enhancing the existing relations with the Kuwait armed forces and is anticipated to boost the confidence of Bangladeshi personnel involved in Operation Kuwait Rebuilding, known as OKP. Additionally, the trip is expected to pave the way for increased employment opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi workers in Kuwait.

The ISPR highlighted that the visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two nations, focusing on both military collaboration and civilian employment initiatives.
