Kathmandu: Nepal Police has arrested a Chinese national for her alleged involvement in a hundi transaction with Rs 2.9 million in cash. The arrested individual is 26-year-old Rikshay Wangmo, who is a permanent resident of Tibet and currently resides in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6 Bouddha, as stated by Apil Raj Bohara, spokesperson and superintendent of the Kathmandu District Police Complex.
According to National News Agency Nepal, police recovered Rs 2.9 million in cash from Wangmo and have taken her into custody along with the amount. The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by Nepalese authorities to crack down on illegal financial transactions in the region.
