Nepalgunj: Construction of a four-lane concrete bridge has begun over the Pedari canal located at Khajura Rural Municipality-3 under the Nepalgunj-Gulariya road section.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Krishna Pandey, Information Officer at the Postal Highway Directorate, Planning Office in Nepalgunj, stated that an agreement has been signed with the construction company to build the bridge for Rs 89.63 million. The project is scheduled for completion in six months.
The bridge aims to enhance travel convenience for the residents of Banke and Bardiya, especially during the rainy season. The existing bridge is in a dilapidated state and necessitated a replacement.
