Patan: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has expressed concerns over the potential negative impacts on the national economy due to the delay in appointing a new governor for the Nepal Rastra Bank. He urged the government to expedite the process of filling the vacant position to avert economic repercussions.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during the inauguration of the party’s awakening campaign focused on the mid-hill highway in Patan, Baitadi district, Chairman Dahal emphasized the urgency of the appointment. He remarked that prolonging this issue goes against the people’s will. The campaign aims to unite the people from the mountains, hills, and southern plains to contribute to the country’s development.
Chairman Dahal, a former Prime Minister, stressed that the party would vigilantly monitor government actions. He highlighted that the country’s progress is unattainable if regions like the Sudurpaschim Province are left behind.
