Gorkha: Former Chief Minister of Bagmati Province and leader of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Rajendra Pandey, has emphasized the importance of elections in restoring the constitution to its intended path. Speaking at a program organized by the NCP in Gorkha, Pandey asserted the necessity of conducting elections on their scheduled date to realign the constitution with its original spirit and values.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Pandey warned that reinstating the parliament could lead the country into further conflict. He insisted that elections are crucial for redirecting the constitution towards a rightful course. Additionally, Pandey highlighted the importance of unity among communist parties amid the current complex political landscape, addressing what he described as unfounded allegations faced by his party during the unification process. He reiterated that the primary foundation for party unification was the adoption of socialism with Nepali characteristics, guided by Marxism-Leninism.
