Kathmandu: Coordinator of Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, emphasized the necessity of conducting timely elections to prevent the nation from descending into a crisis. During his address to the NCP’s Bagmati province-level unification assembly, Dahal articulated the thwarted aspirations of citizens and political parties for the election.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dahal remarked that the election is a viable strategy to guide the country towards a new path. He stressed the readiness of citizens for the election and cautioned against allowing any obstruction to the timely execution of the electoral process. He further stated that it is the government’s responsibility to guarantee that elections are conducted in a fair environment, dismissing rumors regarding the possible reinstatement of the House of Representatives.
Dahal underscored the election as a national necessity and called upon all political parties to prepare for it. He dismissed the likelihood of reinstating the House of Representatives and the previous government, asserting that such scenarios are improbable. He also claimed that their party stands as the sole guardian of Gen Z groups, having a history of combating corruption and advocating for the liberation, identities, and rights of the oppressed communities.
