Kathmandu: The meetings of the House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly (NA) are taking place today. The HoR meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:00 this afternoon.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to present the Annual Report of the National Dalit Commission for the year 2080/81 BS in today’s HoR meeting. Additionally, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant is expected to table the Tilganga Eye University Bill, 2081, which originated in the National Assembly. The bill will be sent to the concerned committee for clause-wise discussions.
The NA meeting is scheduled to commence at 1:15 this afternoon. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey will present the Intangible Cultural Property (Protection) Bill 2081 during the session.
Both Houses will also address a condolence motion to express their sorrow over the demise of Constituent Assembly Member and former State Minister Khadga Bahadur Basyal.
