Nuwakot: Former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has asserted that Nepal’s constitution is exemplary and stressed the importance of safeguarding it. Addressing the ‘Govinda Biyogi Journalism Award’ distribution ceremony in Suirechaur, Shivpuri Rural Municipality-7, he remarked on the constitution’s outstanding attributes such as inclusiveness, proportionality, and secularism.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the ceremony was organized by Editors Society Nepal to commemorate the 20th memorial day of Govinda Biyogi, the founding chairman of the society. Dr. Yadav praised the late Biyogi’s contributions to the restoration of democracy and suggested that the society should focus on steering Nepali society toward progress.
On a separate note, Dr. Yadav expressed concern over the current state of the Nepali Congress, a party that has historically been instrumental in the nation’s democratic movements.
