Kathmandu: The second meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today unanimously approved a proposal seeking consideration on the ‘Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts related to Land’. This development marks a significant step in the legislative process concerning land management in the country.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balaram Adhikari presented the proposal, which received unanimous approval from the Lower House. Following the approval, Speaker of the HoR, Devraj Ghimire, called on parliamentarians interested in submitting amendment proposals to ensure their submissions are directed to the Bill Section.
The HoR is scheduled to reconvene at 11:00 AM on May 27, where further discussions and potential amendments to the bill are anticipated.
