Jahangirnagar: The admission test of Jahangirnagar University for the academic session 2024-25 began today. The one-hour test of the Biological Sciences faculty under D unit started at 9am. On the first day, the test was held in five shifts where female candidates took part.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, male candidates will participate in the test under D unit tomorrow. Additionally, the test for the IBA-JU unit will be held on the same day. The admission tests for E unit and A unit are scheduled for February 11 and 12 respectively, while the test for C unit is set for February 13. The entry test will conclude on February 17 with the exams for C unit and B unit.
This year, a total of 262,450 admission seekers are competing for 1,814 seats, with approximately 145 candidates vying for each seat. Earlier, JU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Kamrul Ahsan visited several exam centers to oversee the arrangements. Calculators, mobile phones, and electronic devices are prohibited in the examination halls.
