Defending Champions Bashundhara Kings finished the Bangladesh Premier League campaign with a winning note as the beat Abahani Limited Dhaka by 1-0 goal in their last match of the league held today (Friday) at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city.
In the day’s match, Dorielton scored the all-important goal for Kings in the 20th minute of the match.
Abahani Limited, who earlier finished runners-up in the league, however tried their best to stage a fight back creating some scoring chances but failed to convert any in the remaining proceeding and they had to leave the field with empty hand.
The day’s win saw Bashundhara Kings finished top of the table with 5 points from 20 matches while the traditional sky blue Dhanmondi outfit Abahani Limited remained at their previous collection of 19 points playing 19 matches.
