Kathmandu: Hearing on the habeas corpus writ petition filed by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has been postponed after a hearing could not be completed at the Supreme Court today. The hearing was initially conducted before the division bench of Justices Dr Nahakul Subedi and Balkrishna Dhakal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Supreme Court spokesperson Achyut Kuinkel confirmed that the case has been rescheduled for a hearing tomorrow. The habeas corpus writ petition has been filed on behalf of Lamichhane, who is currently in custody at Bhairahawa prison in Rupandehi. The petition is part of proceedings related to a cooperative fraud case involving Lamichhane.
