Madhesh: Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Satish Kumar Singh, has extended his best wishes to all sisters and brothers in the Madhes Province on the occasion of the Judshital Siruwa festival.
According to National News Agency Nepal, in a message of best wishes today, the Chief Minister has wished for peace, happiness, good health, and a long life among the people of the Madhesh. The festival, which highlights the sensitivity and significance of nature, serves as a means of passing indigenous skills and awareness of environmental conservation and mitigation of global warming from one generation to the next.
The Chief Minister emphasized that climate change, the greenhouse gas effect, biodiversity crisis, and environmental pollution are global challenges. The Judshital festival raises awareness about the urgency of environmental protection in a practical manner. He pointed out that the festival promotes changing food habits and lifestyle to remain unaffected by heat, accepting equal existence of plants and animals, and engaging in nature conservation efforts, reflecting the need for awareness of the ecological system and biodiversity significance.
