Kathmandu: Minister for Water Supply Rajendra Singh Bhandari has directed all agencies under the ministry to work in a result-oriented manner that instills a sense of pride. While assuming office at the Ministry today, he emphasized the necessity for everyone to make sincere efforts to provide clean, safe, and pure drinking water to the general public.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Bhandari highlighted that drinking water is a fundamental need and right of citizens, urging the Ministry to focus on effective planning and implementation to address the challenges in this sector. He noted that safe drinking water has still not reached rural and remote areas of the country and expressed commitment to prioritizing this issue.
Minister Bhandari stated, “Everyone should work to ensure citizens have access to clean drinking water. The Ministry is committed to necessary cooperation and coordination.” He added that the work should make life easier for ordinary citizens and that everyone, from staff to leadership, should feel a sense of pride from their contributions.
He further noted that priority will be given to good governance, transparency, and accountability in the ministry and its subordinate offices. In addition, he directed that incomplete and ongoing projects be completed on time.
