Ministry Mandates District-Level Disaster Preparedness Amid Weather Warnings


Kathmandu: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed the chiefs of its subordinate bodies in the districts to compulsorily report to their offices and prepare for a district-level response: The Ministry’s directive comes in response to forecasts predicting heavy to very heavy rains in various parts of the country. Officials have been advised to take necessary precautions in light of the anticipated weather conditions.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has circulated these instructions. All district coordination officers and chief administrative officers at the local level have been tasked with arranging the implementation and enforcement of these directives.
