Kathmandu: Nepali Congress General-Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged all citizens, Congress leaders, workers, and people’s representatives to engage in relief and rescue efforts during disasters.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Thapa issued a statement today, emphasizing the importance of widely publicizing information from the government and alerting people in areas at potential risk. He called upon all Nepali citizens, colleagues of the Nepali Congress, and elected representatives at local and provincial levels to disseminate government notices and prioritize self-care while participating in rescue and relief operations during potential disasters.
Thapa also directed party workers at all levels to adhere to instructions and information provided by the party and remain active in their respective areas. He highlighted the necessity of effective coordination between federal, provincial, and local governments in managing disasters and stressed that all agencies and personnel should be actively deployed on the front line with shared responsibility.
