Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has stated that the NC is committed to upholding democratic values within the boundaries of the constitution.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dr Mahat emphasized the party’s dedication to moving forward by reflecting on and addressing its past shortcomings. He highlighted that the NC is focused on strengthening its democratic approach in response to recent political discussions.
Dr Mahat also confirmed that the party’s upcoming Central Committee meeting, scheduled for October 12, will play a crucial role in determining the date for the NC’s general convention. This meeting is seen as a pivotal moment for the party to strategize its future course of action.
In response to circulating discussions on social media regarding a potential ban on political parties, Dr Mahat firmly stated that the NC would not tolerate any such measures, reinforcing the party’s steadfast commitment to democratic principles.
