Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded the urgent rescue of domestic and foreign tourists trapped in an avalanche. In a press release issued today, NC central member and head of the party’s Tourism Department, Angelu Sherpa, emphasized the need for immediate action to rescue those affected by the natural disaster and to search for those reported missing.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the NC has expressed deep sorrow and paid tribute to both domestic and foreign citizens who recently lost their lives in avalanches across various mountains in Nepal due to adverse weather conditions. The party has highlighted the critical need for swift rescue operations to prevent further loss of life.
Additionally, the Nepali Congress has extended wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured in the avalanche. The party has also urged the government to provide appropriate relief to the families of the deceased Nepali citizens, underscoring the importance of support and assistance during this challenging time.
