Nepal Premier League: Two Matches Scheduled at TU International Cricket Ground


Kathmandu: Two cricket matches are set to take place today as part of the ongoing 2nd edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The first match kicks off at 11:15 am featuring Karnali Yaks against Lumbini Lions, followed by a 3:30 pm face-off between Kathmandu Gorkhas and Biratnagar Kings.



According to National News Agency RSS, the Lumbini Lions, led by Captain Rohit Paudel, are eyeing their second win in the tournament, having previously defeated Chitwan Rhinos. In contrast, Karnali Yaks, under the leadership of Captain Sompal Kami, will be looking to rebound after their loss to Chitwan Rhinos.



The second match sees Captain Karan KC’s Kathmandu Gorkhas taking on the Biratnagar Kings. This will be Kathmandu Gorkhas’ third match in the league, following a victory over defending champions Janakpur Bolts and a defeat at the hands of Sudurpaschim Royals. Meanwhile, Biratnagar Kings, captained by Sandip Lamichhane, are striving for their second consecutive win after a confident victory over Pokhara Avengers in their opening match.
