Nepal Telecom’s Role for Economic Prosperity Lauded by Home Minister Aryal


Kathmandu: Minister for Home Affairs Om Prakash Aryal has lauded Nepal Telecom’s role in fostering economic prosperity by expanding communication access across the country. In his address at the 22nd anniversary celebration of Nepal Telecom, he emphasized the company’s significant contribution to digital services, literacy, and national development, especially during crises like natural disasters and pandemics.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Home Minister Aryal stressed that telecommunication services have evolved into a crucial infrastructure for educational, economic, and social development. He highlighted the necessity for providing quality services based on the latest technology and balancing public responsibility with innovation. Aryal underscored that customer satisfaction is essential for sustainable development and expressed confidence in Nepal Telecom’s future advancements in technology and service quality.



Additionally, he acknowledged the role of public institutions in connecting citizens with the government and emphasized Nepal Telecom’s importance in strengthening these relationships. The government, he assured, is committed to supporting Nepal Telecom’s growth and development.



Secretary at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Laxmi Kumari Basnet, also spoke on the occasion, noting that Nepal Telecom aims to expand quality services even in remote and underserved areas. Chairperson of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, Bhupendra Bhandari, added that the company has successfully expanded its 4G LTE service across 749 local government units in 77 districts within seven provinces.
