Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has asserted that no one has the power to usurp the rights achieved through the struggles of Nepali people. Addressing the National Volunteers Gathering organized by the National Youth Federation Nepal, PM and CPN (UML) Chair Oli emphasized the importance of the Federation’s strength and capability in protecting the country’s rights and development.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Oli stated that the youth must be prepared to confront any regressive forces that threaten national progress. He encouraged the Federation to act as a vigilant and organized group, similar to the previous Youth Force, to ensure that volunteerism supports the nation’s goals effectively.
Oli also addressed recent controversies involving governmental decisions, clarifying that the Prime Minister need not justify routine administrative changes. He expressed concern over opposition parties obstructing legislative processes, specifically highlighting their attempts to halt the passage of a bill replacing ordinances by March 31.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, Chief of People’s Organization Coordination Mechanism Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Politburo member Mahesh Basnet, and Federation Chair Kshitij Thebe were among those who shared their insights on the significance of the National Volunteer Campaign during the gathering.
