New Delhi: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has announced ongoing efforts to facilitate the cross-border movement of Indian tourists to Nepal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Senior Director at NTB, Hikmat Singh Air, revealed that the board is working at a policy level to ease travel for Indian tourists by integrating religious and adventure tourism into their offerings. Air made these remarks during a session focused on ‘sustainable tourism’ at the Nepal Festival, which was organized by the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Air emphasized that India remains the largest source of tourists for Nepal, hence the country’s plans to enhance tourism cooperation with a long-term vision for promotion. The Nepal Festival, a collaborative effort between the Nepali Embassy and the Everest Chamber of Commerce and Industries, aims to strengthen cultural and economic ties between Nepal and India.
The NTB maintained a pavilion at the festival, which was attended by dignitaries from both nations. Visitors explored Nepali stalls, sampled traditional cuisines, and viewed handicrafts and local products on display.
