Pokhara: Pokhara Metropolitan City and Youngsan University in South Korea have signed an agreement for scholarship for the study of technical education. Mayor Dhan Raj Acharya and Professor Choi Jae-Young of Youngsan University signed the agreement on Wednesday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the agreement aims to emphasize international relations and mutual development between Nepal and South Korea through academic, cultural, and technical support of Pokhara metropolis. The collaboration will involve the exchange of human resources and information to support international cooperation in education, tourism, and technical sectors. Additionally, there will be a partnership between the metropolitan city and the university on educational programs, visits, and virtual education.
During the signing, Mayor Acharya expressed his belief that Youngsan University would facilitate necessary support for students from Pokhara pursuing their education in Korea, including aspects of their study, social security, and minimum employment. Acharya also noted that the agreement would provide students with access to international scholarships.
Professor Choi Jae-Young stated that Youngsan University is ready to collaborate with Pokhara Metropolis for educational development. He emphasized their willingness to work closely on issues related to technical education, human resources, and mutual benefit.
