Kathmandu: The District Police Range, Kathmandu has written to the federal parliament secretariat regarding the arrest of Dhawal Shamser Rana, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, on charges of a criminal offense.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the district police communicated to the parliament secretariat that Rana’s arrest was conducted under Article 103 (6) of the Constitution. Ekaram Giri, the Spokesperson at the parliament secretariat, confirmed the arrest details.
“Addressing the Speaker, Senior Superintendent of Police, Biswho Adhikari, informed the parliament that Member of the House of Representatives, Rana, was apprehended on charge of criminal offense,” Giri shared with RSS over the phone.
