Pokhara: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pande, has emphasized the shared responsibility of preserving culture and civilization. In his message of best wishes extended during the Chhath festival, CM Pande highlighted the festival’s role in fostering unity, harmony, and fraternity within the country’s diverse society. He expressed hope that the Chhath festival would inspire efforts towards building an equitable and cultured society, free from social discriminations and anomalies.
According to National News Agency Nepal, CM Pande extended his wishes for peace, prosperity, and happiness to all Nepalis, both at home and abroad. The Chhath festival involves worshipping and offering curd to the setting and rising Sun at various water bodies such as rivers, streams, and ponds.
