Kathmandu: The government has established a four-member taskforce to address the issues plaguing the capital market. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance, Tanka Prasad Pandey, announced the formation of the taskforce, which aims to study the anomalies and problems within the capital market. Its mandate includes presenting suggestions and developing a comprehensive implementation action plan to provide systemic and procedural reforms, crucial for boosting the morale of general investors.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the taskforce is chaired by Rupesh KC, the executive director of the Securities Board. Other members include Sharan Adhikari, Director of the Nepal Rastra Bank, and Niranjan Bhattarai, Acting Executive Director of the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited, with Sharad Niraula, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, serving as the member-secretary.
