Kathmandu: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav attended a reception hosted this evening on the occasion of the National Day of Qatar.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the event was organized by the Ambassador of Qatar to Nepal, Mishal M Al-Ansari. The reception was attended by various dignitaries including heads of constitutional bodies, former ministers, chiefs and officials of diplomatic missions in Kathmandu, high-ranking government officials, Qatari nationals, industrialists, businesspersons, and media professionals.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ansari emphasized the cordial relations between Nepal and Qatar. He noted Qatar’s continuous support to Nepal in improving health and livelihood, as well as in environmental protection and climate change mitigation efforts.
Qatar’s National Day, celebrated annually on December 18, commemorates the founding leader of modern Qatar, Sheikh Jasim Bin Mohammad Al Thani.
