Wild Elephant Electrocuted in Ratuwamai Forest

Ratuwamai: A wild elephant died of an electric shock in the Ratuwamai forest of Kamal rural municipality-3 last night. The incident occurred due to electricity leakage, leading to the tragic death of the pachyderm.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Forest Officer Jivan Pathak from the Division Forest Office in the district reported that the electric wire may have snapped after the elephant shoved an electricity pole. This resulted in the animal being electrocuted by the dangling wire. The elephant died on the spot, and its tusk was also burnt.

A technical team has been mobilized to conduct a further investigation into the incident, added Pathak.
