Rasuwa: The import of e-vehicles manufactured in China through the Rasuwagadhi transit point has reached a total of 14,500 units over the past decade. With the increasing influx, these electric vehicles are being stored in areas like Timure, Ghattakhola, and Rasuwagadhi.
According to National News Agency Nepal, a significant number of these vehicles remain unsold due to the importers’ inability to complete the customs process. Rabindra Pyakurel, the Information Officer at the Rasuwa Customs Office, reported that customs clearance has been completed for 2,570 vehicles, which are now en route to Kathmandu.
In addition to electric vehicles, other items such as shoes, sandals, ready-made garments, and electrical goods are also being imported from China through this transit point.
