Khulna: The 10th Inter-discipline volleyball competition began at Khulna University (KU) campus playground today. KU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rejaul Karim inaugurated the competition, which is organized by the university’s Physical Education division.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 29 male teams, representing each of the 29 disciplines, and 25 female teams are participating in the tournament. Registrar Prof Mahubur Rahman and Students Affairs Director Prof Nazmus Sadat were among those present at the inauguration ceremony.
On the opening day, seven matches featuring male teams and two matches featuring female teams were held. During his speech, Prof Rejaul Karim emphasized the importance of sports in the physical and mental development of students, encouraging all to engage in sports alongside their academic activities.
