76 People Injured in Uprising Get Treatment in Feni


Feni: Seventy-six people injured in July-August uprising received special medical care at a medical camp in the district. The two-day medical camp began at 9 am on Wednesday and ended on Thursday afternoon, providing essential treatment to those affected.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the local administration, health department, and social services department organized this initiative as part of the Youth Festival. The festival aimed to build a new Bangladesh under the slogan, “Come change the country, change the world.” Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Shihab Uddin confirmed that the medical camp provided specialist care to the injured individuals.



Out of the 76 individuals treated, 21 were transferred to various hospitals in the capital, including Dhaka Medical College, the National Institute of Ophthalmology, and the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital. A team of specialists, including ophthalmologist Dr. Brajgopal, ENT specialist Dr. Mobarak Hossain Dulal, orthopedists Dr. Mashiur Rahman and Dr. Jamal Uddin, surgery specialist Dr. Adnan Ahmed, and chest specialists Dr. Shariful Islam Joni and Dr. Shariful Kabir, along with medical officers Dr. Sunanda Sen and Dr. Rubel Roy, were involved in providing the necessary care.



Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office, Saiful Islam Chowdhury, stated that the Social Services Department also provided medicines to the injured as required.
