Alternative Option to Current Governance System Needed, Lingden Says

Dhangadhi: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Rajendra Lingden has called for an alternative option to the current governance system to prevent the country’s condition from further deteriorating. At a protest rally organized by RPP in Dhangadhi on Sunday, Chairperson Lingden asserted that the nation can’t endure the current situation any longer and emphasized the necessity for a new agreement.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Lingden proposed a governance system where the Prime Minister is directly elected by the people, alongside a fully proportional electoral system in the parliament. He further stated that the RPP has adopted a pro-monarchy agenda, claiming that this system would effectively address the nation’s issues.

Additionally, at the rally, RPP leader Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani highlighted that the country is currently facing significant political, governance, and economic challenges. RPP Spokesperson Gyanendra Shahi also underscored the importance of changing the current governance system to guide the nation on the right path.
