Maoist Centre’s Goal is to Uplift Living Standards of Poor People, Says Prachanda


Phidim: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that his party is engaging with people at the grassroots level with an aim to enhance the living standards of the impoverished.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Prachanda addressed a mass meeting organized by the CPN (Maoist Centre) Panchthar District Coordination Committee. He highlighted that the recently held Tarai-Madhes Awakening Campaign by the Maoist Centre has evolved into a people’s campaign in that region. He emphasized that such initiatives offer the party a chance to become acquainted with the issues faced by the populace.



During the event, the Maoist Centre’s Chairman remarked on the development of significant national infrastructure projects related to connectivity, such as the Mid-Hill Highway, Postal Highway, and north-south corridors, which were initiated during the tenure of Maoist-led governments.



Prachanda’s personal secretariat shared that the former Prime Minister reflected on the efforts made towards social justice, good governance, and economic reforms during his third term in office.
