Kathmandu: Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has stated that his party remains united and indivisible. During a program held on the 74th birth anniversary of the late communist leader Madan Bhandari in Kathmandu, PM Oli cautioned against any aspirations of splitting the UML.
According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli emphasized the continuous progress of the CPN (UML), recalling how the party had previously faced divisions but had emerged stronger. He affirmed that the UML is a resilient entity that cannot be easily fractured. Oli urged party leaders and members to strive towards achieving Mission-84.
In his address, Oli highlighted Madan Bhandari’s significant contributions to national politics, noting that Bhandari’s guidance has been pivotal in Nepal’s political transformation. He pointed out that during a period when leftist and socialist movements faced global challenges, UML, under Bhandari’s leadership, embarked on a new trajectory.
Additionally, PM Oli acknowledged Bhandari’s timely introduction of the People’s Multiparty Democracy concept, which continues to serve as the ideological foundation for the UML’s current endeavors. He shared details of his official visit to Spain and his upcoming trip to Humla to inaugurate a road to Simkot, describing these as milestones achieved under People’s Multiparty Democracy.
Moreover, Oli reaffirmed the UML’s steadfast support for the Mahakali Treaty and stressed the importance of implementing its agreements.
