Prime Minister Oli Highlights Daily Construction of 2.25-Kilometer Road in Last Fiscal Year

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that 2.25 kilometers of road were constructed daily during the last fiscal year, 2024/25. In a statement shared on a social networking platform, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the country has made significant progress in physical infrastructure development over the past six years.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister highlighted that a total of 932 kilometers of road were blacktopped last year. He noted that the pace of infrastructure development was notably high six years ago when the UML was in power, suggesting that the momentum had slowed down thereafter. However, with the current administration, the development efforts have regained momentum, and Prime Minister Oli stressed the need for further acceleration in these works.

In his message on the occasion of Engineers’ Day, PM Oli expressed his best wishes and acknowledged the vital role engineers play as essential human resources in advancing both physical infrastructure and technology development.
