Kathmandu: Heavy rainfall is anticipated in parts of Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces today as the monsoon winds continue to impact the region. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the monsoon’s low-pressure line is positioned slightly north of its average position, leading to anticipated weather changes across the country this afternoon.
According to National News Agency Nepal, moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in many parts of the hilly regions, including Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, as well as some areas in the Terai region. Additionally, there is a forecast for heavy rain in one or two places within Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces.
Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally overcast. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is predicted in many locations across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, along with some areas in the remaining provinces. The Division has also highlighted the possibility of heavy rain in one or two
locations in Koshi Province.
As heavy rainfall is projected in specific areas, the Division has urged the general public and relevant agencies to stay informed about the latest weather updates to ensure safety and preparedness.
