Kathmandu: The monsoon wind is currently active across the country, with the Weather Forecasting Division predicting heavy rainfall for Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces today. The division has issued a warning to residents and sectors such as health, transport, and aviation to remain vigilant due to the adverse weather conditions.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the low-pressure belt of the monsoon is presently located towards the Tarai region of Nepal, slightly north of its average range. This positioning has resulted in cloudy weather across most hilly regions in the country. Meanwhile, moderate rainfall is being experienced in some areas of Madhes Province.
Additionally, moderate rainfall is also expected in some hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces today. The weather division forecasts that the country will experience generally cloudy conditions tonight.
