Kathmandu: Executive Director of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), Ismail Ersahin, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Wednesday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the discussions during the meeting covered a range of topics, including strategies to boost investment in Nepal and the potential membership of the Investment Board of Nepal in the Association. Lok Bahadur Thapa, the Permanent Representative of Nepal to the UN, shared insights on the importance of these discussions for Nepal’s economic growth.
Present at the meeting were Prime Minister Oli’s chief advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Amrit Bahadur Rai, and other officials. The meeting highlighted the significance of collaboration between Nepal and WAIPA in enhancing investment opportunities in the country.
