Mahottari: With enough rainfall in recent days, Mahottari district has recorded significant progress in paddy seedlings transplantation. As of the first week of August, the district achieved around 60 percent of its total target for paddy seedlings transplantation.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Agriculture Knowledge Centre in Mahottari reported that 57 percent of the paddy seedlings transplantation was completed as of Thursday, August 7. This marks a notable increase from the previous week’s achievement of just 30 percent of the total target by the end of July.
The Information Officer of the Office, Abiral Kumar Mahato, highlighted that the progress was largely due to the improved irrigation supply following sufficient rainfall. “The progress has reached around 60 percent today,” he stated.
The Office further estimated that total progress in paddy seedlings transplantation could surpass 80 percent by the second week of August if the current pace is maintained.
