Bajura: A pilgrim tragically died after falling off a cliff near Bisnepani in the Bajura district. The incident occurred on Thursday evening, claiming the life of 52-year-old Biplav Ojha from Gokarneshwor municipality-5 in Kathmandu.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Ikbal Hawari, confirmed Ojha’s identity. The fatal accident happened as Ojha was returning to Nateshwori after his visit to Badimalika. Hawari stated that ongoing rainfall has complicated efforts to retrieve the body from the gorge.
Efforts to deploy a helicopter from the Nepali Army for the rescue have been hindered by the adverse weather conditions, as reported by the police.
