First Lady Radhika Shakya Emphasizes National Responsibility at Teej Festival

Kathmandu: First Lady Radhika Shakya has urged citizens to take responsibility for the nation’s welfare, emphasizing that not everyone needs to be involved in politics.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Shakya made these remarks during a Teej festival celebration organized by the National Youth Association. Addressing the gathering, she shared her personal experience, stating, “Many people have asked me why you have not entered politics. Not everyone in the country should do politics. Everyone has their own place, interest, and area.”

Shakya, who is the spouse of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, highlighted the role of the Youth Association in combating societal negativity, jealousy, and envy. She advocated for patience, discipline, and discretion among the populace.

She stressed the significant role of youth in shaping the country’s present and future. “If you engage in good deeds both the present and the future will be good. If you stray, both the present and the future will not be good,” she stated.

At the same event, Youth Association President Kshitij Thebe underscored the crucial role of youth in nation-building and the importance of guiding them along a constructive path.
