Birgunj: A medical team mobilized by Gaur Provincial Hospital, Rautahat, has arrived here to extend support in bringing into control the diarrhea and cholera outbreak in Birgunj Metropolis. The Gaur Provincial Hospital sent the team comprising two doctors and three health assistants led by Dr Parashu Ram Yadav and Dr Bishnu Kumar Sah to Narayani Hospital, Birgunj today after numerous people were found suffering from diarrhea and cholera in the city since Friday, said Chairperson of Gaur Provincial Hospital, Mohammad Anwar Hasmi.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the medical team has been dispatched to assist in controlling the diarrhea and cholera that have spread in Birgunj city and to coordinate in the treatment of the patients. A total of 79 people have tested positive for cholera in Birgunj, while 103 individuals suffering from diarrhea are receiving treatment at various hospitals.
