Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has urged cine artists to spread the message of adopting a healthy lifestyle. As cine artists are followed by many people, they have a significant role in bringing positive change among the public, Minister Gurung argued.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the minister also reminded artists to take care of their personal health in addition to their involvement in film development and acting. Minister Gurung made these remarks while addressing a program on the distribution of identity cards to distinguished cine artists.
During the occasion, Minister Gurung announced that those eligible to receive the identity card of distinguished cine artists would be awarded Rs 150,000, while those receiving the identity card of a cine artist would be provided with health insurance worth Rs 75,000.
The minister further informed that the government is committed to ensuring prosperity and that he is working seriously towards achieving this goal. “Government extends full support to the development of film,” he vowed.
