Gold and Silver Prices Surge in Local Market

Kathmandu: The prices of gold and silver have risen in the local market today. The price of gold increased by Rs 3,300 per tola (11.66 grams), while the price of silver went up by Rs 130 per tola.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association has set the price of hallmark gold at Rs 316,700 per tola. The price of pure silver has been determined at Rs 4,985 per tola. Previously, hallmark gold was traded at Rs 313,400 per tola and pure silver at Rs 4,855 per tola on Thursday.

In the international market, the price of one ounce of gold is 4,540.18 US dollars, and that of silver is 68.92 US dollars today, as reported by the international media.
