The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will hold an
emergency meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at the conference room of the Youth
and Sports Ministry.
BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon is expected to be present in the meeting
through online, board insider said.
Several BCB directors confirmed that they got the mail about the meeting.
It is learnt that BCB CEO sent an emergency email to president, requesting
him to hold a meeting in the wake of the chaotic situation, which emerged due
to the president’s no show-up following the ouster of the Sheikh Hasina-led
government.
Insider said, president may announce his decision to step down from his post,
paving the way to start a necessary reform in the BCB.
Along with the president, some other BCB directors may resign from the board.
