Jaimini: Jaimini Municipality has purchased an agriculture ambulance to transport agricultural produce to the market. Deputy Mayor Harihar Sharma stated that the municipality acquired the ambulance for Rs. 5 million, supplementing the same amount received from the federal government.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the agriculture ambulance will benefit 500 agricultural firms, cooperatives, and farmer groups within the municipality. These entities encompass 4,000 families involved in agricultural production, aiming to streamline the transportation of their produce to market efficiently.
Sharma further explained that the municipality is committed to supporting local agriculture through grants, training, and technical assistance. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to attract youth to agriculture and promote commercial agricultural production.
Additionally, the municipality has collaborated with the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Modernization Project to establish an agricultural produce collection center in Kushmisera. A chilling center has also been constructed in Damek Sarkuwa to support the storage and preservation of produce.
