Air Flights Resume After Three Weeks of Suspension in Taplejung

Taplejung: Air services have resumed in Taplejung after three weeks of suspension. Flights had been grounded since June 13 due to adverse weather conditions. Today, a Nepal Airlines plane successfully arrived from Kathmandu carrying four passengers, and five passengers departed for Kathmandu on the same flight from Taplejung.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Narayan Kumar Karki, the station in-charge of Nepal Airlines in Taplejung, reported that six flights had been affected due to the unfavorable weather. The disruption came as the monsoon season began, bringing challenging flight conditions to the region.

Karki noted that flights between Kathmandu and Taplejung are scheduled twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. The fare for the journey from Taplejung to Kathmandu has been set at Rs 9,200 per person.
